Kathmandu, December 24: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, held a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. Discussions during the meeting covered bilateral relations, including trade, tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, and disaster management.
Prime Minister Oli highlighted Nepal’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) as its chair. He reiterated Nepal’s commitment to fostering relations and cooperation with all nations under the principle of “Friendship with all, enmity with none,” focusing on Nepal’s sovereign and independent national interests.
Ambassador Hashmi expressed Pakistan’s readiness to host the SAARC Summit. This was the first courtesy meeting by the Pakistani Ambassador since Prime Minister Oli assumed office.
