Two arrested for fraudulent foreign employment schemes

Kathmandu, Dec.24: Two individuals have been arrested for cheating people by promising foreign employment with lucrative salaries.

The 53-year-old Yad Bahadur Burja of Rautamai Rural Municipality-3 of Udayapur district and 35-year-old Sanjay Sah of Pacharauta Municipality-8, Bara district, were detained for fraud.

Burja deceived two victims into paying Rs five hundred seventy-five thousand, promising to send them to Croatia, while Sah took four hundred sixty thousand from one, claiming to send him to Cyprus, as per the bulletin of Nepal Police.

All two of them became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction.

After the victims filed complaints, Burja was arrested from Gokarneshwor – 8, Jorpati, and Sah Kuma was arrested from Teku, Kathmandu.

Both have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
